Mutya ng Pilipinas 2022 - Intercontinental

I grew up in Ottawa, Ontario until the age of 13, and then moved to the Philippines in 2015. I completed my highschool education in Las Piñas, but have roots in Limay Bataan where all my family currently stay. I’m half french Canadian on my dad’s side and half Filipino on my mom’s side.

Iona is a 20-year-old student and beauty queen, who is currently completing her undergraduate degree in Behavioral science with a major in Organizational and Social Systems Development. She hopes to one day found her own NGO, centered on uplifting rural and fisheries-based communities by aiding in the development of industry reforms, programs, and through education. Alongside pageantry, Iona is also a singer and has released two singles and hopes to one day release her own album. She’s an avid reader and also enjoys creative writing in her free time. She hopes one day to be able to publish some of her writing, specifically a poetry collection. Iona has a soft spot for animals, and one of her dreams since childhood was to found her own animal shelter and rehabilitation center, specifically for senior animals and animals with special needs. One of the biggest motivators for Iona in joining pageantry was the platform it would offer her to make her dreams come true and to advocate for all the causes she holds close to her heart.

Magandang araw sa lahat! My name is Arianna Kyla Gonzales Padrid and I am your Mutya Ng Pilipinas World Top Model 2022! I was born in Baguio, Philippines and shortly after moved to the Bay Area, Northern California where I was raised. Growing up I participated in different acts of community service and peaceful protests/parades for a variety of things I advocate in. I stand at 5’11 and all my life I’ve been asked if I play any sports (especially basketball haha), unfortunately I’m very uncoordinated and didn’t specialize in any but I still like to play for fun! I recently moved to Southern California where I’ve grown in my modeling career. Modeling is something very important to me because I struggled a lot with my image, being Filipino I didn’t see much representation of our people in the media and I hope to change that. Our heritage, culture and beauty is something that should be admired all around the world and my dream is to achieve that and show the world that Filipinos are truly beautiful inside and out.

It was during my high school years when I started joining pageantry. As someone who’s very shy and a bit boyish I didn’t expect that joining a pageant would occupy a big space in my life today.

I love doing modelling, travelling and trying lots of food with friends and family.

When I first joined Mutya Ng Pilipinas California I never expected to win, more or less getting a crown here in the Philippines! This was my first national pageant and there were times where I felt down and would not make it. But I never had a doubt in my mind that I was meant to be here. Thank you to everyone that never gave up on me and never stopped supporting me!

Thank you to MNP California and MNP for trusting me with your crowns and seeing a queen in me. Your endless support and love is something I will hold onto forever, I’ll forever be your queen.

Mutya ng Pilipinas 2022 - Luzon

Pageantry was a spur-of-the-moment decision, to try heal my self image before ending my 20’s, while I had a lot of empathy and time to empower other people I lacked kindness to myself and my appearance. I’ve long suffered with body issues & eating disorders, but before the screening for the pageant I set off on a personal journey of healing and secretly submitted my application to Mutya ng Pilipinas the morning of the final screening- and it was the best decision I could have made in my life thus far. A girl with no training, who didn’t own stiletto heels, didn’t wear makeup on the day to day, no gowns at all apart from a dusty bridesmaids dress, being at the top of the normal “age limit”, tattooed body and all- with an open mind an an open heart and let whatever was to happen, happen.

I hope people can look at me and see as an example, that you can always start over and reinvent yourself and that there isn’t a “time limit” despite what society may raise you to believe. You’re never “too old” to explore and discover what you have to offer.

Megan Deen Campbell

Megan Deen Campbell, 25, Model, Actress, Host and Creative. I feel fortunate to have experienced multiple cultures from a young age. Born and raised in Hong Kong where I began teaching English at 16 during senior year and college.

Throughout my career as a radio personality in my hometown, Cebu city. I continued to teach and further my studies as a holistic wellness coach. All while pursuing my dreams in Manila as a creative talent in media, I am grateful to have been a part of campaigns that support women empowerment and the LGBTQ Community.

I stand as the Ambassador of the Visayas Rugby Football Union, we are dedicated to providing education and life skill coaching through sports and social work in local communities, schools and in partnership with the SOS organization (save our souls) for orphaned children. I want to bring forward the importance through my advocacy the value of education, that we must care to provide equal opportunity for every child to have access to learning for a better future.

Mutya ng Pilipinas 2022 - Mindanao

I’m someone who is empathetic; I try my best to understand people and the situations they are in and relate to them to be able to extend my helping hand to the best of my abilities. I’m an active church member. I’m an advocate of eco-tourism, where I want to help with the preservation of tourism near local communities and safeguard the Philippines' heritage.

I'm claustrophobic, but when I was 14, I gathered all my courage to ride one of the longest and scariest roller coasters in my life and wore the tightest seatbelt in an ocean park with my older sister. Once in a while, I try my best to get out of my comfort zone and experience things.

I’m also an introverted person who’s trying to get out of her comfort zone while developing her self-esteem and self-confidence.
